Online Resources (Not Curriculum) During Quarantine

I am not going to post a list of learning resources meant to any way substitute for classroom instruction, because honestly, it's just not that simple. But here are some things that I have seen shared over the past 48 hours or so that honestly, just look really cool and seem like they would be really interesting to explore. I think that in the absence of direct instruction from a teacher, you should let children  follow paths that interest them, not force them to follow a prescribed curriculum!

Attend a virtual concert

NASA's entire media library is accessible online

Paris Musées has over 300,000 works of art available to view online

The Smithsonian has over 2.8 million images in the public domain you can view

OU's latest teach in "Immigration in Global and Historical Context" is available to watch online

Google Arts & Culture site includes Museum Tours

Many Museum websites also have virtual tours of their own

Zoos, Aquariums and other public spaces have virtual tours, too

Watch a Broadway play or musical (just not Hamilton)

National Parks Virtual Tours

Listen to the Metropolitan Opera
